At first, I had only heard about performance-based income models — but I had no idea that people could actually made money from it. One day, I randomly read a post online explaining what promoting products online really is. Honestly, my first reaction was — “This is waste of time”But then I thought — If I truly want to earn money online, I have to start somewhere. And today, through this blog, I’m sharing how How I Made My First Affiliate Sale completely from scratch.

🚀 My Starting Phase

So, on 7 September 2024, I decided to take the first step, I had no clue where to start or which platform would be best for me. I started watching YouTube tutorials and researching partner programs. That’s when I came across a Bangladeshi YouTuber who explained that you can promote links through partnership-based income model.

At that time, I didn’t even know what Freelancing Platforms really was. After watching many videos, I gained some basic knowledge — but I knew that real experience only comes when you actually step into the field.

Within a month, I realized that affiliate marketing mainly requires three things:

1️⃣ A good partner program that offers decent commission.

2️⃣ One or two strong traffic sources where you can get regular visitors.

3️⃣ Marketing and presentation skills to attract clicks and conversions.

There were so many niche options that I was totally confused at first. Finally, I chose something that works well for both humans and AI tools — Logo Designing.

B) Joining an referral system / partner program

There are many partner program platforms out there, but back then I didn’t know much. So I joined the same one that YouTuber had recommended — Fiverr Affiliates.

C) Recommending Useful Resources

I started sharing ng my Deep links through Pinterest. At first, I made simple pins, but they weren’t getting enough views.So, I decided to upgrade my visuals using Canva Pro, and soon my pins started getting more clicks and impressions.

D) The Slow Growth Phase

Even after posting regularly for over a month, I was getting good views, but not enough clicks.After doing some more research, I learned that Pinterest takes time to rank and push your content — so consistency is the key.

I kept posting for another 2–3 weeks consistently, and then finally… things started moving!

🎉 My First Sale!

My first successful result came on 22 January 2025 through the My Selected Partner Program. I earned around $60 in total that day, and another $30 the following week — reaching almost $90 in rewards overall.

⚠️ A Small Mistake, Big Lesson

A few days later, I made 2–3 more sales — but this time the commission was very low. When I checked, I realized that I had mistakenly shared a different Fiverr plan link, which paid less commission.

Here are a few lessons that completely changed my mindset:

1. Patience is everything:- Getting your first sale takes time — but once the right traffic starts coming in, sales will follow naturally.
2. Focus on value, not just sales:- If you genuinely help your audience through your content, the sales will automatically happen.
3. Share Correct Promotion Link:- One small mistake in your referral links can cost you real commissions, so double-check every time before sharing.
4. Use 1–2 reliable platforms for traffic:- Instead of trying every social media, focus on one or two that bring the most engagement and conversions.
5. Build audience trust:- Sharing helpful tools/products online is not just about clicks — it’s about relationships. The more your audience trusts you, the more likely they are to buy through your links.

It took me around 3-4 months to make my first sale through partner programs.
But honestly, you can achieve it even faster — if you start applying these small lessons consistently
